Ingredients

  • 8 oz feta cheese, block in brine, drained
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (100% pure, not pie filling)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat preferred)
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tbsp honey, plus more for garnish
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, plus more for garnish
  • 2 tbsp toasted pepitas (pumpkin seeds), for garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat feta dry and crumble into large chunks. Place feta and garlic in a food processor.
  • Pulse several times until feta is finely crumbled.
  • Add pumpkin puree, Greek yogurt, olive oil, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and red pepper flakes.
  • Process on high for 2–3 minutes, scraping down sides as needed, until completely smooth and whipped.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl. Chill for 30 minutes if desired for best flavor.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and honey. Garnish with pepitas, herbs, and extra red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

Use block feta in brine for the smoothest texture. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
