Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tongs or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or hot sauce (to taste)
  • 3/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (block feta recommended)
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon zest or fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F). Remove and rest.
  • Lower heat to medium. In the same skillet, whisk honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes until glossy and slightly thickened.
  • Add crumbled feta to the glaze and let it warm for about 1 minute until slightly softened but still chunky.
  • Return the chicken and juices to the skillet. Spoon the hot honey feta sauce over the chicken to coat evenly.
  • Finish with lemon zest or juice and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve immediately.

Notes

For the juiciest chicken, pound the breasts to an even thickness before cooking and avoid overheating the honey glaze, which can burn quickly.
