Ingredients
  

Chicken Nuggets

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Coating

  • 1 cup all-purpose flou
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

For Frying

  • vegetable oil, for deep frying

Instructions
 

Marinating the Chicken

  • In a bowl, mix buttermilk with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
    Add chicken pieces and mix to coat. Cover and marinate for 30 minutes (or overnight in the fridge)

Notes

Cut chicken evenly so nuggets cook at the same rate.
For extra crunch, double-dip the chicken: dip back in buttermilk, then coat again in flour mix.
Serve with kid-friendly dips like honey mustard, ranch, or ketchup.
You can bake or air fry for a lighter version.
Add a pinch of cayenne if your kids like a little kick!
